For properly oiled wood indoors. Rubio Cleaner is a preparation product for untreated, sanded wood; do not use it as a floor soap.
Care task 1
Cleanse with Universal Soap
The following instructions apply to Rubio Universal Soap.
- Remove sand and dust.
- Mix 50–100 ml with 10 litres of water; do not exceed 100 ml.
- Mop with a slightly damp mop. Use a second bucket to rinse dirt from the mop.
- As stated in the current data sheet, follow up with clean water and a slightly damp mop. Do not leave water standing anywhere.
- Leave to rest for approximately 15 minutes and until completely dry.
Rubio recommends using Universal Soap no more than once a week. Too much or too frequent soap use can leave residues.
Care task 2
Freshen up with Universal Maintenance Oil
Check that Universal Maintenance Oil and the chosen colour are suitable for your finish.
- Clean thoroughly, remove soap residue and allow to dry completely.
- Stir the oil. Apply a small amount in small sections along the grain.
- Wipe off all excess oil within 15 minutes. The surface must not remain tacky.
- Ventilate and allow to dry for approximately 6–8 hours. Full curing takes 5–7 days.
Wait 7 days before cleaning with maintenance soap. Immediately immerse oil-soaked cloths and pads in water to prevent spontaneous combustion; dispose of safely according to the instructions.
